WASHINGTON, DC – Sen. Byron Dorgan’s  announcement that he will retire from the U.S. Senate at the end of 2010 came as a surprise to the American hydrogen and fuel cell communities, quite aside from the larger implications for the Democrats inside and outside of Congress.   

  The decision by this North Dakota Democrat deprives hydrogen and fuel cell supporters of their most outspoken and important champion in Congress.
