Briefly Noted: Rensselaer Hydrogen Center

Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, NY has launched a new Center for Fuel Cell and Hydrogen Research. The center will conduct basic research, focusing on fuel cell development, hydrogen generation and storage, electrochemistry, solid state and polymer science, and the applicatiion of nano-materials in fuel cell and hydrogen research, according to the school’s announcement. The new center, based in Rensselaer’s School of Engineering, will be headed by Glenn Eisman, former chief technology officer of Plug Power, Inc., the fuel cell developer headquartered in nearby Latham, NY.
