Briefly Noted: Meeting Point Renewable Energy Shanghai

Five German and one Singaporean companies exhibited equipment and services at China’s first commercial hydrogen and fuel cell exhibit, “Meeting Point Renewable Energies China,”

part of the Shanghai International Industry Fair Nov. 4-9, organized by China’s Ministry of Science and Technology. Some 35 Chinese organizations, universities and companies, ranging from a fuel cell power train developer to a solar energy institute to the Shanghai Maglev Transportation Development Co., showed products and services, including this fuel cell-powered “Tourist Cart.” Singapore’s exhibitor was GasHub Power Pte Ltd. From Germany, Choren Industries, a bio-fuel developer; the Fuel Cell Competence Network Northrhine-Westfalia; industrial gas manufacturer Linde AG; MST Technology, a maker of hydrogen sensor modules; and SGL Technologies presented their products. The display was arranged by Arno Evers, organizer of the annual joint hydrogen and fuel cell exhibit at the Hannover Industrial Fair in Germany.
