California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has appointed Terry Tamminen as his cabinet secretary. Previously, Tamminen has worked for Schwarzenegger as secretary in charge of the California Environmental Protection Agency (CalEPA) since November 2003.The cabinet secretary is a direct liaison between the governor and cabinet members, including all agency directors and department directors. Tamminen who is expected to assume this position December 1, replaces Marybel Batjer.......Proton Energy Systems, Inc, Wallingford, CT, a manufacturer of on-site hydrogen generators, has named Frank Vonesh as new regional sales manager for the Midwestern United States. Vonesh is a 32-year veteran of the industrial gas business, most recently as on-site sales manager also for the Midwest, for BOC Gases. He has also worked for Messer/MG Industries, Inc. and Air Liquid America Corp........IdaTech, the Bend, OR-based developer and manufacturer of fuel cell systems and components, has named Bill Shank as vice president of North American sales, and Nicolas Pocard as European sales manager. Shank has more than two decades of international sales experience, including positions with ReliOn, Vertel, Hitachi and Nortel Networks. Pocard has more than 10 years of experience in international high technology products sales and marketing, including work for fiber-optic transmission device manufacturer COE, Ltd. In Europe and Asia.
