Briefly Noted: South Korea/China Nuclear Center

South Korea and China have opened a joint research center to produce hydrogen via nuclear energy, reports online Asia Times, a Hongkong-based Intenet news service. Citing reports by Asia Pulse and Korea’s Yonhap news agency, the new center in Beijing was inaugurated April 16, according to an official announcement by the South Korean Ministry of Science and Technology. The facility is expected to develop reactors capable of producing 30,000 tons of hydrogen annually by 2019, the story quoted an unidentified ministry official. Contact/Source: www.atimes.com/
