Honda’s second-generation fuel cell vehicle, the 2005 Honda FCX, has been certified by both the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the California Air Resoruces Board (CARB) for commercial use. This new model features fuel economy improved by nearly 20% compared to the previous version, and power is up to 107 hp compared to 80 hp for the previous one, Honda said in a release. The EPA city/highway fuel consumption is rated at 62/51 miles per kg of hydrogen (one kg hydrogen is roughly equivalent to one gallon of gasoline in energy content). CARB has certified the car as a zero-emitter, and EPA is rating it as a Tier-2 Bin 1 National Low Emission Vehicle, the lowest possible national rating. Contact/Source: http://www.hondanews.com
