Briefly Noted: Honda Scooter

Honda Motor Co. says it has developed a scooter powered by a light compact fuel cell stack. The stack design is based on Honda’s automotive fuel cell stack, and it is said to be capable of starting at below-freezing temperatures. The stack is intended for a scooter in the small 125 cc class. Apparently it’s not ready for commercial competitive prime time: Honda’s release says the company plans to continue refining the design to achieve range and same storage capacity comparable to i.c. engined vehicles of its class.
