The U.S. Energy Department has chosen 10 cost-shared hydrogen storage research and development projects as part of its long-term vehicle development plans which will receive up to $15.3 million over five years.

In early September, the European Parliament overwelmingly voted in favor of new rules for hydrogen cars, buses and trucks to help drive forward adoption of the technology and speed up the construction of a continent-wide hydrogen infrastructure network.

Storing electricity generated by a mix of wind and nuclear energy in the Bruce Power plant in Ontario is not economically worthwhile - at least not now. That at least is the conclusion of a team of four researchers from the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia, and the University of Waterloo, Ontario.
