Briefly Noted: Jadoo

Jadoo Power Systems, Inc.’s N-Gen Fuel Cell Power Unit has been named as a Product of the Year by the trade magazine Electronic Products, a Hearst publication. The system by the Folsom, CA-based company “is the first prosumer fuel cell system with industry-standard battery connectors for easy integration into consumer devices,” the magazine said. The Jadoo N-Gen hydrogen-powered PEM-based system generates 100 W and 12 V DC for multiple applications such as portable radio or laptop recharging, law enforcement surveillance, off-grid communications and others. With an adapter, the system can provide up to 2200 W-h (180 A-h) at 110 V AC. The 2006 Product of the Year awards will be announced in the January issue.
