The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) has announced a $1.5 million Program Opportunity Notice (PON) 1173 asking for proposals for sustainable transportation systems. In Category A, NYSERDA seeks multi-phased proposals to support new and innovative strategies in planning and design, construction, project implementation policy, maintenance and operations, and landscaping and lightning. In Category B, NYSERDA seeks demonstrations of existing commercial transportation technologies with the potential to improve the energy and environmental performance of existing transportation systems in New York State that have not been previously deployed to any significant extent. Proposals are due Oct. 10, 2007, 5 p.m. eastern time.
