Briefly Noted: Donaldson Fuel Cell Filters

Minneapolis, MN-based Donaldson Company, Inc. reports it has shipped its first Japan-made fuel cell filters to customers. The company has been making what it says are the world’s first air and chemical filters and noise attenuation devices for fuel cells in the United States for three years, but now has started manufacturing so-called fuel cell contamination control products at its factory in Gunma, northeast of Tokyo. The first products were specialized air filters and noise attenuation devices for installation in fuel cell vehicles. Donaldson which has been manufacturing in Japan for 40 years as Nippon Donaldson, Ltd, did not say specifically who the customers were but they appear to be Japanese carmakers.
