Opportunities: NYSERDA

The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) is announcing a Program Opportunity Notice (PON) No. 920 for a program to support development, demonstration and commercialization of innovation transportation products and systems. A total of $2.5 million is available in two rounds, due April 19, 2005, 5 p.m. and October 5, 2005, 5 p.m. The project should lead to building or demonstrating a working prototype within 36 months to which NYSERDA would contribute a maximum of $250,000. For non-working prototypes or studies NYSERDA would contribute smaller amounts. The project must clearly identify energy, environmental and other benefits to New York State, and it must provide for royalty payments to NYSERDA when commercialized. The bidders must also offer to co-fund as cash, labor or other resources. Interested parties should download the full solicitation from the NYSERDA website, www.nyserda.org, or send a request to Karen Whalen, NYSERDA, 17 Columbia Circle, Albany, NY 12203-6399, e-mail kew@nyserda.org, fax 518/862-1091. Details: Call NYSERDA’s Transportation Research Program at 518/862-1090, extensions 3258, 3260, 3228 and 3215.
