Quadrature/Low IF Transceiver IC
The EV9910B allows the evaluation of the CMX991 Quadrature/Low IF
The CMX991 is an RF Transceiver IC providing I/Q modulator and
up-conversion, superheterodyne receiver and IF local oscillator.
Access is provided to all CMX991 RF, baseband and control signals
by either connectors or test points.
Test access points are available to accept common test equipments,
such as RF and baseband signal generators and spectrum analysers.
All signal paths are matched by suitable components.
The EV9910B provides an optional lumped bandpass filter plus buffer
amplifier at 460MHz (default) to aid evaluation. The overall
evaluation frequency range of this Evaluation Kit is for RF
frequencies between 100MHz and 1GHz, with default operation over
450MHz to 470MHz.
In the form of a populated PCB, this flexible Evaluation Kit
enables users to configure and evaluate the CMX991 device for
various applications and frequency bands.
The on-board CMX991 is controlled via its C-BUS serial interface.
The PE0003 Interface Card is available separately to support
PC-based control of the EV9910B.
Both EV9910B and EV9920B Evaluation Kits are similar, use the same printed circuit board,
with different components fitted. The User Manual is also common to
