BEIJING - The 2008 Olympics here are shaping up as a milestone test for Chinese hydrogen and fuel cell technologies, and judging by what Chinese scientists presented at HYFORUM 2004 here, China may emerge as a powerhouse, perhaps in the not too distant future - with some western help.

LOS ANGELES - Some of the details are still being worked on, but if all goes according to plan, the Hydrogen Car Company (HCC), will start taking orders for its hydrogen-fueled internal combustion-engined cars July 1.

China Report: DoE to Contribute Renewable H2 Equipment, Fuel Cells to 2008 Green Beijing Olympics
BEIJING - The U.S. Energy Department expects to contribute renewable hydrogen production and delivery equipment for 5 Hythane buses that are to be placed into revenue service as part of the United States/China collaboration in the “Green” 2008 Olympics, small groups of experts from both countries agreed during a meeting Saturday May 22, just prior to the HYFORUM conference.

Texas Technical Institute to Offer Fuel Cell Technician’s Training, One of First in U.S.
BEAUMONT, TX - Lamar Institute of Technology (LIT) here, a 2,500-student state technical college that trains technicians in more than 50 areas ranging from refinery and chemical plant operations to x-ray machinery and health services, will start offering a five-course fuel cell technology program late this summer.
