Briefly Noted: Nanophosphate Battery
General Motors Corp. will co-develop nanophosphate battery chemistry with lithium battery manufacturer A123Systems, Inc., Watertown, MA (H&FCL Jan. 07) for its electric drive E-Flex System, GM’s new plug-and-play powertrain architecture for both fuel cell or plug-in vehicles like the prototype Volt.
