Laminar-Flow Micro Fuel Cell Eliminates Membrane, Can Use Alkaline Chemistry

CHAMPAIGN, IL/CARY, NC - A team of scientists at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) has come up with a novel micro fuel cell design that not only does away with the conventional membrane - and problems such as methanol crossover - but that can also function either as an alkaline or acidic system.
