Briefly Noted: LIPA Wind Plans
The Long Island Power Authority (LIPA) has installed its first combination of solar power and fuel cell technologies on Long Island. LIPA announced that it will, together with FPL Energy, apply to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for authorization to install an offshore wind energy park off Long Island’s South Shore.
