Record Turnout, Number of Presentations at Hydrogen Program Review Meeting
ARLINGTON, VA - Hydrogen seemed to be everywhere during the last week of May in the nation’s capital area. The U.S. Energy Department’s annual Hydrogen Program Overview here last month turned out to be bigger and more elaborate than the last one, with almost twice as many presentations and participants than last year.


Millennium Founder Amendola Proposes Urea/Ammonia-Based Energy System
OCEAN, NJ - Steven Amendola, the chemist who founded Millennium Cell Inc. and who introduced sodium borohydride to the international hydrogen community, has a new trick up his sleeve. A chemical energy system based on urea and ammonia. Both are industrial and agricultural chemical commodities, widely used in, among other things, the production of fertilizers, animal feeds, explosives, plastics and, in the case of urea, some hair conditioners and lotions and even as an alternative to rock salt as a less corrosive road deicer.
